The key elements of the University's agenda are:

As a consequence of this agenda, the University continues to attract world class students and is developing as a preferred destination for outstanding and motivated staff around the world.
Approximately 6200 students are enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree, of whom, 55% are studying the BCom in combination with another degree. 2005 Postgraduate enrolments total 1180 and include 134 PhD students. In 2004, 1099 students completed a BCom, 136 completed a BCom (Honours) and a further 437 completed a Masters degree.
The Faculty of Economics and Commerce has a strong commitment to internationalisation and strongly encourages its students to undertake studies at selected international universities. The University has formal exchange agreements with more than 100 leading institutions in 27 countries around the world.
