Deferment, Leave of Absence and Discontinuation of Honours
In special circumstances a student may seek to defer their place or take leave of absence in the honours year. A formal application must be made in writing to the honours coordinator. Students will normally be granted no more than one years deferment or leave of absence.
Students who wish to discontinue their course must notify the honours coordinator in writing.
Forms for requesting a leave of absence or for notifying of a discontinuation are available from the Commerce Student Centre, Faculty of Economics and Commerce, Ground Floor, Babel Building or can be downloaded:
