Orientation
Orientation is one of the most important weeks of the University calendar for new students. It aims to introduce you to the University including lecture and tutorial formats and student support services, familiarise you with the physical layout and campus environment and to understand the expectations the University has of its students.

Peer Mentoring Program
The First-Year Peer Mentoring Program aims to help new students make the transition into university life as smoothly as possible, by providing a support network, opportunities to meet new people and a forum in which to ask other students questions. Peer mentoring flyer (pdf 200kb)
Transition 2 Commerce (T2C)
T2C is a lecture series designed to familiarise you with the kind of learning and teaching you'll experience in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce and to arm you with the tools you'll need to succeed. It will automatically appear on your allocated subject timetable.
Faculty Student Clubs and Societies
Membership of a club or society is an excellent way for you to meet new people, expand interests and take on leadership roles while studying. The Faculty of Economics and Commerce has seven clubs and societies which aim to meet the specific interests of our students.
The Student Experience - Academic Enrichment activities
Under the Melbourne Model we aim to give you access to programs and activities which are designed to enrich your university experience, support your learning, develop your skills, facilitate your involvement, and help you to realise your potential as a leader and effective global citizen. Transition Officer & Course Advisers
The Faculty has a dedicated staff member who is able to assist you if you are experiencing problems transitioning to university. You are also able to make appointments to see the Transition Officer and Course Advisers throughout the year. More information on course advice appointments.
