2008 Summer Semester Subjects
Strict deadlines apply to the enrolling in and withdrawing from Summer Semester subjects.
Students can enrol in Summer Semester subjects via the Admin tab in the Student Portal as part of the re-enrolment process (see Subject Selection).
Students cannot withdraw from Summer Semester subjects after the census date has passed. For information on subject census dates, refer to your enrolment record or check the University's Subject EFTSL, Level, Discipline and Census Date calculator.
The 2008 Summer Semester runs from 7 January to 24 February. Please see below for the commerce subjects available.

Tutorial allocation for Summer Semester subjects is done via the Alloc8 system. For further information please go to the Alloc8 page.
Exams
The exam period runs from 18 February to 22 February.

Exam clashes
Students who have a clash of exams should complete the Clash of Exam Advice Form (PDF, 25kb) and forward it to the Commerce Student Centre. Please submit your form in person, via fax or by email.
Alternative Exam Arrangements
Students requiring specific arrangements due short-term health circumstances may apply for Alternative Exam Arrangements to assist them in undertaking their exams more comfortably. Supporting medical or other appropriate documentation is required for any arrangements to be made.
Students with ongoing conditions should register with the Disability Liaison Unit to receive continuing assistance.

Special Consideration
Students who have been significantly affected by illness or other serious circumstances during semester may be eligible to apply for Special Consideration.

Workloads
Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Commerce double degree students may enrol in a maximum of 25 points in Summer Semester. Subjects offered during the Summer Semester are taught in intensive mode.
No approval will be given for Commerce students to undertake subjects at other universities over summer for credit towards the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Commerce (Management).
Fees
Summer Semester Fees for all undergraduate subjects taught by the Faculty of Economics and Commerce will be charged on the same basis as standard semester subjects (ie full fee students will be charged full fees and Commonwealth Supported students will be charged on a CSP basis for any Commerce Summer Semester subjects in which they enrol).
Students wishing to enrol in subject/s taught by another Faculty over the Summer Semester are advised to check with the relevant faculty regarding fee arrangements.
Winter
The Faculty of Economics and Commerce does not offer subjects over the winter recess. Please refer to the Course and Subject Handbook for information regarding the faculties that offer winter recess subjects.
